After Awakening, I Could Hear My Archenemy’s Inner Thoughts 121

His Precious Dai Dai Is Hiding Something From Him (Part 1)

“Dai Dai, hmm?”

Su Xuan’s trailing tone seemed to strike directly at her heart, making Sang Dai keenly aware that something was off.

Her elbow pressed against Su Xuan’s chest as she stammered, “I-I have nothing to hide from you, really, I don’t! I’m not lying to you.”

Su Xuan could see right through it—his little sword cultivator had now upgraded to a novice little liar. But her lying skills were so poor that it was obvious she was deceiving him.

“Oh? Is that so?” Su Xuan leaned in closer, gently nibbling on the base of her ear. “Are you really not lying to me?”

Sang Dai’s strength drained away, her body going limp at the waist.

“N-not lying to you.”

Sang Dai’s nose brushed against Su Xuan’s neck as she instinctively softened, her nose nudging the side of the little fox’s neck.

Su Xuan’s heart was filled with joy. His sword cultivator was truly a treasure in every way—her voice was adorable, and every movement she made was equally endearing.

“You’re lying to me.”

“I’m not.” Sang Dai couldn’t lie; she didn’t even dare to meet Su Xuan’s eyes and could only bury herself in his arms. “I-I-I never lie.”

Su Xuan kissed her cheek and lowered his voice, saying, “If you’re not lying, then dare to look me in the eye?”

Sang Dai: “…”

That was obviously impossible.

If she looked him in the eye and heard what was in his heart, she wouldn’t be able to stop herself from giving herself away again.

She clung tightly to Su Xuan’s shoulder, pressing her face against his neck, refusing to come out no matter how hard Su Xuan tried to pull her away.

This only confirmed Su Xuan’s suspicion that she was hiding something from him.

The little fox narrowed his eyes, plotting mischief again.

Sang Dai, like a cowardly turtle, shrank and huddled in his embrace, refusing to speak. Su Xuan didn’t dare use force on her and could only think of other ways.

The little fox’s hand, which rested on her waist, began to move mischievously upward to her back. His palm pressed against the area between her shoulder blades through her outer garment, and his thin lips lightly nibbled at the soft flesh of her neck before teasing it with his tongue.

Sang Dai let out a soft hum, and Su Xuan seized the moment to decisively pull her out of hiding.

Her eyes were red and slightly misty, as if she had been terribly wronged. Su Xuan felt that he was being falsely accused—he hadn’t even started bullying her yet!

Su Xuan kissed her lips, lightly biting along her soft lip before coaxing her in a husky voice, “Baby, open your mouth.”

Sang Dai wanted to escape, but the little fox, overtaken by desire, was far more assertive now. He pulled her closer into his arms, pinched her waist, and the sword cultivator instinctively complied, parting her lips.

Su Xuan took the opportunity to invade, sweeping and plundering between her lips and teeth.

Whenever Sang Dai kissed him, she would instinctively close her eyes, not daring to meet his gaze. But the little fox held the back of her head firmly.

While nibbling on her lower lip, he murmured in the gaps between, “Don’t close your eyes. Look at me, Dai Dai.”

When Sang Dai was dizzy, she was often the most obedient. Her long lashes trembled as she raised them to meet his gaze.

His eyes had always been mesmerizing. The eyes of the demon race were unique, and the nine-tailed fox clan’s eyes were like glimmering glass, their pupils half-animalized, reflecting faint, flowing light. When those eyes looked at her, they spoke tender, sweet words that she dared not listen to yet couldn’t resist.

For example, at this moment, while Sang Dai was being pressed down and kissed by him, Su Xuan was thinking other thoughts in his heart.

[So fragrant…]

[So soft, I’m kissing Dai Dai.]

[My Dai Dai, soft and fragrant everywhere, I want to kiss her to pieces.]

Sang Dai’s face grew redder and redder.

Su Xuan cupped her face and kissed her, not blinking as he maintained eye contact.

[Dai Dai, I’m kissing you. So soft, so fragrant… How about we undo your clothes and kiss more?]

Sang Dai immediately withdrew her hand to cover her sash.

Su Xuan’s gaze darkened. While kissing her, he picked her up and placed her on the bed, bending down to press over her, prying open her teeth to continue the kiss.

[I want to undo your clothes and kiss you there, even through the inner garments.]

Sang Dai’s mind cleared from the fright. She turned her head away, breaking free from Su Xuan, and retreated, pulling a thin blanket to tightly cover herself.

The little fox panted, grabbed her ankle, and dragged her back. He slipped between her legs and deliberately locked eyes with her.

“Precious Dai Dai, I’ll just kiss your lips.”

[Of course, that’s a lie. I want to kiss you everywhere.]

Sang Dai heard everything, clutching the thin blanket tightly to keep him from pulling it away. “Su Xuan, I don’t want this!”

Su Xuan curled his lips into a smile, kissing her lips while lightly biting them, his glassy eyes fixed on hers.

[Dai Dai smells so nice, Dai Dai is so soft… My precious Dai Dai…]

[I love her so much. Her ears are so red, her neck is so soft, and that place even more so… Just a bit of coaxing, and I can undo it. Just kissing…]

The little sword cultivator lying beneath him suddenly clutched the neckline of her clothes tightly.

At this moment, Su Xuan released her, his fingertip wiping the gloss from her lips and chin. His emotions shifted quickly—transforming from a rogue to a normal little fox in an instant, as if everything earlier had been an act.

He hadn’t misread her. Sang Dai’s first reaction earlier was to clutch her chest.

“Dai Dai, what are you hiding from me?”

He deliberately tested her, and her reaction was indeed odd. Su Xuan was very clever; it was easy for him to deduce the timing of her strange behaviors.

He hadn’t spoken, yet Sang Dai was visibly flustered. Her flushed face was clearly one of embarrassment.

Embarrassed about what?

Sang Dai panted, meeting Su Xuan’s eyes, her heart pounding wildly. For a moment, she felt as if all her secrets had been exposed, as if she was completely defenseless and laid bare before him.

“I… I’m not hiding anything, nothing at all…”

Su Xuan raised an eyebrow. If she wasn’t hiding anything, then why did she clutch her clothes when he merely thought about undoing them?

“I-I-I really don’t have anything. I’m not hiding anything from you.”

Sang Dai truly didn’t know how to lie. Whenever she did, her words were always stuttering and faltering.

Su Xuan lifted her into his arms, placing her in his lap, and gently patted her back. “Catch your breath before speaking. Don’t choke yourself.”

To this day, she still didn’t know how to kiss, and Su Xuan always grew more intense as the kiss went on. When Sang Dai got too nervous, she would even forget to breathe.

She obediently leaned on his shoulder, breathing softly. Her cool breath fell on his neck, brushing against it like a little feather.

The little fox patted her back, helping her steady her breath, while tilting his head to look at Sang Dai, who had her eyes closed and was resting against his shoulder.

He often felt like the events of recent days were just a dream. Sang Dai had been so cold to him before, as if even his death in front of her wouldn’t elicit any reaction. When he had carried her back from the battlefield and sat by her bedside, staring at her pale face, Su Xuan had spent several nights pondering.

She had come to his side—so how should he treat her?

Should he tell her directly that he liked her, or should he continue treating her as he always had?

In the end, he concluded that he couldn’t say he liked her.

Sang Dai despised him, thought of him as a liar. At such a time, she would only think he was mocking her. So Su Xuan suppressed his feelings and spoke to her as he always did, expecting to wake up to the same cold and indifferent Sang Dai.

But that wasn’t the case.

What he saw was a gentle Sang Dai. From her initial gentleness, to her later tolerance, and now even a touch of affection—these changes were something he hadn’t dared to dream of before, and yet they had happened in just four months.

What he hadn’t achieved in a hundred years had come true in four short months.

It was too strange, and it had gone too smoothly. Sang Dai’s trust in him had come far too quickly.

Su Xuan kissed her sweat-dampened forehead.

There were always things in this world that exceeded his understanding—just like how that black-robed man wasn’t from the Four Realms, or how Sang Dai seemed to have unknowingly changed the fate that the heavens had set for her. Perhaps…

His precious treasure still had secrets even more precious.

The little fox lifted Sang Dai’s chin and leaned down to kiss her again.

Sang Dai leaned against his chest with her eyes closed, her tongue already numb from his relentless kisses. Her breathing was chaotic, and she could only rely on him to help her catch her breath.

In her daze, she seemed to hear his voice.

“Dai Dai, open your eyes.”

Sang Dai slightly lifted her gaze, her blurry vision meeting his as he pressed down on her again.

They were doing something so intimate, their eyes meeting.

A hoarse voice echoed in her sea of consciousness.

[Do you like it?]

At that moment, Sang Dai was so dizzy that she thought Su Xuan was speaking. During a brief pause in the kisses, she whimpered softly.

“…Mm.”

[Do you like kissing me?]

“…Mm.”

[Does it feel good, baby?]

Su Xuan curled his lips into a faint smile, flipping her onto the embroidered quilt and continuing to kiss her.

He hadn’t spoken just now.

But she had responded.

An unbelievable guess might have found its answer.

Tan Huai didn’t see Sang Dai or Su Xuan come downstairs even after he finished eating.

He frowned slightly. Sang Dai had clearly said she would go up to call Su Xuan down for the meal. Why hadn’t there been any movement after such a long time?

Could it be that something had happened with Liu Lixue again, and they couldn’t pull away?

The thought made Tan Huai anxious. He grabbed his prayer beads from the table and headed upstairs.

As he passed by Sang Dai and Su Xuan’s room, on his way to check Liu Lixue’s room next door, the tightly closed door behind him opened.

Tan Huai instinctively stopped and turned around, only to see Su Xuan stepping out, dressed in luxurious black robes.

“Beast King?”

Su Xuan’s lips were slightly swollen, with a faint cut at the corner. His cheek bore red marks, as if from being pressed during sleep, though they weren’t very noticeable.

Tan Huai, being a monk, didn’t think in that direction at all. Instead, he pointed at Su Xuan’s face and lips. “What happened to you…?”

Su Xuan replied calmly, “Oh, a little wildcat bit me and clawed me.”

Tan Huai: “…Huh?”

Su Xuan glanced toward Liu Lixue’s room next door. “He should be asleep. We’ll handle business this afternoon. Let’s rest for now.”

Tan Huai hesitated. “But didn’t Young Master Liu say he was hungry?”

“I had food sent to him. He’s eaten and gone to bed.”

“And Miss Sang, after she went up…?”

“She’s tired. She fell asleep first.”

Tan Huai: “Oh, alright then. I’ll go back to my room to rest and come back after noon.”

Su Xuan nodded lightly. “Mm.”

He turned and went back inside, shutting the door behind him, leaving Tan Huai standing before the door with a face full of bewilderment.

When Su Xuan reentered the room, he saw Sang Dai hiding under the bed curtains, curled up like a coward. He knelt on one knee at the edge of the bed and pulled her out from under the blanket.

Sang Dai immediately noticed the red marks on his cheek, along with the small cut on the corner of his lips.

Feeling guilty, she reached out to touch his face. “Does it hurt? I’m sorry. I really didn’t react just now—I didn’t mean to.”

The little fox caught her hand and kissed it, replying in a muffled voice, “It hurts.”

Sang Dai’s guilt deepened. She sat up, wanting to heal him. “Let me help you reduce the swelling, alright?”

Following her movement, Su Xuan pulled her into his arms and had her sit on his lap, gently pecking her cheek. “A kiss will make it better.”

“Su Xuan, I’m being serious.”

“I’m serious too,” Su Xuan replied.

Sang Dai lay in his arms and muttered, “Then just stay in pain. I don’t care anymore.”

Earlier, he had been shameless, thinking all sorts of improper thoughts. Sang Dai couldn’t take it and, in her panic, had slapped him and even bitten him.

Su Xuan rubbed his cheek against hers gently.

“Dai Dai.”

Sang Dai didn’t respond. The moment she replied, he’d only get more carried away and start thinking those thoughts again.

Su Xuan rested his chin against her hair. “We really are a match made in heaven. You’re destined to be my wife.”

Sang Dai grumbled, “I haven’t agreed to that yet.”

Su Xuan curled his lips into a smile. Clearly, she didn’t understand what he truly meant by “match made in heaven.”

But she didn’t need to agree. After all, she couldn’t escape.

Ever since he brought Sang Dai back to the Beast Realm, he had never intended to let her go. But she had willingly accepted him staying by her side.

The little fox was carrying his wife-to-be bit by bit toward his den. Once they stepped through the door of the cave, she wouldn’t be able to leave.

“Dai Dai, can I have another kiss?”

Sang Dai: “?”

The little fox kissed her neck, trailing downward from the base of her ear, continuing along her collarbone.

Once again, Sang Dai was kissed into a dazed state.

A long while later, she covered her mouth and kicked him square in the chest.

The fox spirit dramatically clutched his chest. “It hurts! It hurts so much!”

Sang Dai pulled the blanket over her head. “Then stay hurt. You can deal with your heat cycle on your own.”

How heartless.

Su Xuan chuckled softly, pulling her, blanket and all, into his arms. “Don’t be mad, Dai Dai. I’ll restrain myself next time.”

Sang Dai didn’t respond, clearly intent on a cold war.

The little fox, lowering his voice, held her close and coaxed her with endless sweet words, displaying his remarkable talent for comforting her.

Worried she might overheat from being so stubborn, Su Xuan gently but firmly pulled the blanket away. Sure enough, he saw Sang Dai’s cheeks as red as the evening sky and a sheen of sweat on her forehead.

He reached out and softly wiped it away, his smile as carefree as ever, though his light-colored eyes glimmered with deep affection.

When Sang Dai met his gaze, she couldn’t muster any resolve to reject him. She couldn’t bear to see him upset or hurt.

In truth, his inner thoughts were right—any time he acted coy, Sang Dai would agree to anything he wanted.

The little fox kissed her lower lip, his gaze fixed unwaveringly on hers.
