Midsummer Whisper 104

Extra Story 2 (Part 2)

After a while, seeing that she still seemed a bit afraid, Pei Chen, restraining himself with all his might, gently coaxed her to gradually get used to it.

Like a small rose blooming in the dark night.

The dew on its leaves dripped down, spreading a rich fragrance in the air.

Liang Zhiyi gradually became intoxicated. After some time, Pei Chen leaned down, his lips brushing against her ear, and he asked in a low voice, “Zhizhi, I want to go faster, okay?”

Her face flushed, her heart pounding, and she softly agreed.

Then the floral scent was completely crushed.

And with it came endless surrender.

Much later, as Pei Chen’s deep kiss landed, the two held each other tightly.

Sweat covered them both.

The sensation of their bond spread through every fiber of their being.

The girl curled up in his arms, feeling the strong, steady beat of his heart. She heard him sigh softly near her ear, and her face flushed bright red.

After a while, he kissed the tip of her nose, looked at her, and with a hoarse voice said, “Zhizhi, I love you so much.”

Her heart overflowed with warmth and affection.

“I love you too…”

As they calmed down, she lay on his chest, her fair skin covered by a thin blanket. With a mix of pride and shyness, she teased him, “Someone finally got what they wanted.”

“Yeah.”

His eyes softened as he lifted her chin and gently pecked her lips.

“From now on, if you ever make me angry, I won’t let you have your way.”

He smirked, “You’re going to use that to threaten me?”

She huffed softly, “So what? What can you do about it?”

He rolled over, pulling her back into his arms. The girl burst into laughter as he started tickling her, and as they nestled together, they found themselves losing control again.

For young lovers tasting the sweetness of love for the first time, once was never enough.

This time, the girl was no longer shy. She wrapped her arms around his neck, transforming into a little temptress.

After a while, she gazed at him with alluring eyes, her red lips softly whispering, “Pei Pei, you’re so amazing…”

The boy, still inexperienced, couldn’t handle her teasing. He grew even more intense, biting her earlobe, his voice deep and raspy, “I want to break you…”

Liang Zhiyi Yi knew all along that Pei Chen was like a wolf. Gradually, his gentleness was replaced by obsession and fierceness.

After a long time, he suddenly picked her up. She was momentarily stunned, watching as he started to move. Her mind went blank, unable to form coherent words.

Finally, she was pinned against the wall. She heard something being thrown into the trash, and just when she thought it was over, a few minutes later, he pulled out another one from the box.

Pei Chen’s eyes were dark and intense as he kissed her tear-streaked eyes, his voice low and gravelly:

“You said I could do whatever I wanted tonight.”

Her heart skipped a beat.

Oh no…

The next morning, sunlight flooded the earth.

Around seven in the morning, the girl was first disturbed by the bright light outside and woke up briefly.

She mumbled that it was too bright, and then vaguely heard the sound of the curtains being closed. Her bare body was once again pulled into an embrace, and the boy’s gentle voice followed:

“It’s okay, go back to sleep.”

Last night, they didn’t fall asleep until two or three in the morning.

Now, she was exhausted and quickly drifted back into a deep sleep.

When she woke up the second time, it was already midday. In her groggy state, she could hear Pei Chen’s calm, steady voice as he seemed to be discussing work matters.

Half-awake, she saw him leaning against the bed, half-holding her. She closed her eyes and instinctively nestled closer into his embrace, murmuring softly.

Her voice was so sweet and soft that it could melt into water, and it traveled through the phone to the person on the other end.

Employee: ???!!!

Holy crap, did I just interrupt something important for the boss!?

The employee’s voice faltered, and two seconds later, Pei Chen’s still calm voice followed, “Handle the rest on your own.”

“Okay, okay, I’ll hang up now.”

The other person quickly ended the call.

Pei Chen set the phone aside, turned over to look at her, and gently stroked her head, asking in a low voice, “Did I wake you?”

Liang Zhiyi shook her head and tried to move, but a wave of soreness and fatigue spread through her body. She wanted to speak, only to find her voice hoarse. Remembering how he had kept her up until the early hours of the morning, she pouted angrily:

“I’m not talking to you anymore…”

Last night, Pei Chen had finally shown his true nature, devouring her entirely, from the bedroom to the bathtub. What began as her teasing turned into pleas for mercy. She now fully understood the consequences of unleashing the beast in him.

Men are all such rascals when it comes to these things…

Pei Chen’s voice was husky as he coaxed her, “Zhizhi, don’t be mad. It was my fault.”

“Hmph, why didn’t you realize it was a mistake last night?”

Apologizing now, after he’s had his fill.

He chuckled softly, continuing to soothe her. She wasn’t truly angry, just indulging in a little playful tantrum.

Eventually, she leaned against his chest as they cuddled. After a while, she fell silent, and he stroked her long, waterfall-like hair, asking gently, “What are you thinking about?”

She smiled and looked out at the blue sky and white clouds outside the window.

“I just suddenly felt a bit dazed. It feels like we’re still in our second year of high school, sitting next to each other like it was just yesterday.”

Hearing this, a faint smile curved his lips, and memories began to replay in his mind.

“Peipei, when you first met me, what kind of person did you think I was?” she asked, looking up at him, suddenly curious.

Pei Chen thought for a moment, his eyes softening. “The first thing I noticed was that you were very beautiful. Then, the next day at the start of the school year, I heard you singing in the office, and I thought you were a bit silly.”

Recalling the time when he teased her with a book for singing Teletubbies, she felt embarrassed and retorted, “I wasn’t silly, that was cute!”

He smiled, “Yes, very cute.”

“And then what?” she asked.

“Then you became my desk mate. At first, I thought you talked a lot,” seeing the look she shot at him, he quickly corrected himself with a grin, “I mean, you were quite lively.”

She huffed, “I only talked to you so much because I was interested in you. Do you see me being that forward with any other guy?”

Pei Chen realized this was true. In the beginning, he couldn’t quite understand why she treated him differently from others.

Thinking about the past, Liang Zhiyi sighed wistfully, “Pei Chen, I had a crush on you from the start of the school year, but when I confessed, you said I wasn’t your type, that you only liked quiet and reserved girls.”

As she spoke, she grew annoyed with herself, “Maybe I should start acting quiet and reserved now.”

“I lied to you back then because I didn’t want you to keep liking me,” he said, kissing her ear gently, “Don’t change. I’ve always liked you just the way you are.”

A sweet smile curved on her lips, and her heart felt warm as honey. “So when you rejected me that day, you were sad too, weren’t you?”

Pei Chen murmured in agreement.

The essence of love is pain; she felt it because he seemingly didn’t like her, and he felt it because he couldn’t openly love her.

Recalling those days, Pei Chen said, “After I turned down your confession, the school sports meet happened. You didn’t talk to me for two days, and I saw you hanging out with Liang Tongzhou. At first, I thought maybe you two were together.”

Seeing her getting close to another guy had made him feel even worse. Looking back, he realized that what he had felt was jealousy.

She laughed, “But then you started talking to me again.”

“I saw you were uncomfortable because of your period, and I couldn’t help but care. Then that day after school, when your foot got hit by a skateboard and you cried because it hurt so much, I completely panicked.”

She teased him, “If you really wanted me to give up on you, maybe you should’ve been a bit colder.”

He countered, “Do you think I could’ve managed that?”

If emotions could be controlled, he wouldn’t have fallen for her so quickly.

She smiled warmly, “No, I couldn’t have done it either.”

Just like how he couldn’t stop himself from falling for her, she couldn’t give up her feelings for him.

“Pei Chen, we were destined to love each other.”

He smiled and kissed her, whispering tenderly in her ear, “Of course.”

The two exchanged sweet words for a while longer. When the girl mentioned she needed to freshen up, Pei Chen scooped her up and helped her out of bed.

As she stepped onto the floor, she noticed the scattered clothes and the several wrappers in the trash bin, her face turning red.

Now she understood why he had bought two boxes…

After all, they still had another night ahead…

Wrapping herself in a towel, they both headed to the bathroom. After they finished washing up, she leaned against the sink. Noticing the way her collar hung open, Pei Chen’s gaze darkened, and his lips found their way to her again.

He was slyly stoking the flames, and when she met his increasingly intense gaze, she realized what he was up to and playfully scolded him, “Pei Chen, you’re such a rogue…”

Wasn’t he ever satisfied?

His strong, muscular arms framed her on both sides as he leaned in, gently tracing her lips with his own. Her heart softened, but she mustered the strength to stop him before things went further:

“No way, you wish.”

His long eyelashes fluttered, and his thin lips tightened as he stared at her intently, his voice raspy, “Zhizhi, just one more time, okay?”

Just??? Everyone knew that meant at least forty minutes…

He looked at her with the eyes of a pitiful puppy, but she knew all too well he was a wolf in disguise. She huffed, “No way.”

Pei Chen felt even more tormented.

Last night had been their first time, and the experience was indescribably addictive. Being young, he found it nearly impossible to resist the urge to drown in her softness.

But she was determined not to let him have his way. Proudly declaring that she was hungry, Pei Chen reluctantly pulled her in for a kiss before asking what she wanted to eat.

They left the bathroom and, as it was lunchtime, decided to order takeout.

While waiting for the food, Pei Chen called room service to clean up, changing the sheets and tidying up the room.

Feeling embarrassed, the girl hid in the study until the cleaning staff left. When she finally came out, Pei Chen smirked and pulled her into his arms, whispering teasingly in her ear, “Why so shy? Weren’t you the one who messed up the bed?”

One touch, and she’d melt like water.

Her face turned completely red. “You’re not allowed to talk about it anymore…”

Flustered and annoyed, she ignored him for a while. But when he went to the door to grab their takeout, she couldn’t help but obediently follow him. He promptly pulled her onto his lap as they sat down to eat.

After finishing lunch, it was already past three in the afternoon. With no pressing matters to attend to, Pei Chen mentioned that he needed to do some work in the study and told her she could do her own thing as well, reminding her that they had another night booked, so there was no rush to leave.

After he headed to the study, Liang Zhiyi also started working on her own tasks. By the time she finished in the early evening, she sprawled out on the bed and began playing on her phone.

She noticed a post by Ji Fei’er about going out and casually left a comment. Soon after, Ji Fei’er sent her a private message, poking her curiosity: “So, how was last night? How did it go? I can’t help but ask for some juicy details [smirk].”

Recalling the previous night, Liang Zhiyi blushed and her heart raced as she typed back, “I’m completely exhausted.”

Ji Fei’er: “??? Whoa, was it that intense?”

“Pei Chen is that kind of guy??”

Liang Zhiyi: “Who told you he’s cold and abstinent…?”

Ji Fei’er laughed in surprise: “Isn’t he?”

Liang Zhiyi, nearly in tears, replied: “I used to think he was all pure and innocent—turns out it was all a lie! He’s like a starving wolf, completely wild, it’s terrifying!”

Just as she was about to continue her rant, her phone was suddenly snatched away. She turned her head to find Pei Chen standing beside her, his eyes now scanning the messages on her phone.

Her mind went blank as she met his meaningful gaze. Her face instantly turned as red as a tomato, and she quickly grabbed her phone back.

“You… you didn’t see anything, right…?”

“What do you think?”

Mortified, she wanted to hide under the covers, but instead, he leaned down and pulled her into his arms, pushing aside her bathrobe as he gazed deeply into her eyes.

“Running away?”

“I’m not…”

He tilted her chin up and kissed her lips. As she slowly backed away, he advanced like a hunter closing in on his prey.

She stammered, “Weren’t you busy with work…?”

“Finished.”

He looked at her and said, “Just in time. I’m hungry.”

Sparks flew as their clothes brushed against each other.

The curtains remained tightly drawn, making it feel like night.

The atmosphere gradually heated up.

She tried to resist but inevitably fell into his trap.

She couldn’t help but want to be with him again…

Her bathrobe slipped to the floor, and he lifted her into his arms. In her daze, she saw Pei Chen reach out and press the button for the curtains.

The curtains slowly opened.

Outside, the neon lights were just beginning to flicker on as dusk settled in, casting a dim, mysterious glow.

He carried her over to the window, and her eyes widened in fear. “Pei Chen…”

She heard his deep voice questioning her, “Completely wild?”

“…”

Oh no, this is bad…

The next moment, he set her down and turned her around to face the full-length mirror by the window.

Her hands were pressed against the mirror, her heart racing as she felt Pei Chen tightly press her against him from behind. His heated breath brushed against her earlobe:

“Then let me show you what truly being wild means.”
