Extra 2: Three Love-Brained Individuals Gather Together

[3. “Terrifying Entities”]

Jiang Kou had never forgotten that A was created to counter two other “terrifying entities.”

One was codenamed “J,” the other “C.”

After taking charge of the company, she attempted to search for information on “J” and “C” in the internal network, but found nothing.

Jiang Kou assumed that her account permissions were insufficient, so she switched to the CEO account of the biotechnology division. Yet, to her surprise, the result remained: “No relevant search results found.”

She pondered for a moment, then stopped searching the internal network and instead turned to A’s database.

This time, she found results.

Jiang Kou was startled.

…Jiang Lian? Chen Cebai?

Wasn’t Jiang Lian the former CEO of Biotech? And wasn’t Chen Cebai her childhood nightmare, the man with thirty-two doctoral degrees?

These two people—Biotech had been trying to combat them all along as “terrifying entities”?

But why were there two instances of “【Deleted】”?

A was now the CEO of Biotech. Even with his level of access, he still couldn’t view their attack records?

And that last line—what exactly mustn’t be looked at when encountering them?

If someone did look… what would happen?

Jiang Kou’s mind was overflowing with questions, nearly spilling over.

She lowered her head and sent A a message, asking if he had detailed information on these two “terrifying entities.”

But A didn’t reply.

Jiang Kou frowned slightly.

This was too strange.

She knew very well that A always replied to her messages instantly—literally instantly, generating an appropriate response in less than a second.

Had A encountered some kind of trouble?

[4. Trouble No. 1]

Jiang Lian’s expression was dark, full of displeasure.

He didn’t understand why Zhou Jiao insisted on returning here—this barren, desolate planet full of low-level lifeforms.

Here, anyone could smell her, look at her, touch her.

As her husband, she was supposed to belong to him alone.

She should only be smelled by him.

She should only be looked at by him.

She should only be touched by him.

…No, she didn’t like it when he ordered her in a forceful tone.

He had to change his approach.

Jiang Lian paused for a moment, then walked to Zhou Jiao’s side and stretched out his arms, clinging tightly to her like an octopus.

Zhou Jiao turned her head. “What’s wrong?”

Jiang Lian’s eyes shifted slightly, a flicker of inhuman cunning and malice flashing behind the gold-rimmed lenses.

He had already drafted a response in his mind—

“Why insist on returning to Earth? Are the other planets not good enough, or do you just dislike being alone with me?”

Given Zhou Jiao’s personality, she would probably kiss him to shut him up.

That way, he could both get a kiss and use it as an excuse to eliminate a few people close to her.

A win-win.

However, before he could speak, Zhou Jiao directly kissed him, her tongue lightly sweeping across his lips.

“I know you don’t like it here. I don’t like it much either. But it looks like something happened to the company—I need to find out what.”

Jiang Lian’s gaze froze. His pupils dilated, then contracted, as if assessing the truthfulness of her words. Yet, unconsciously, he captured her tongue and sucked heavily.

“You promise—once the investigation is done, we leave.”

Zhou Jiao couldn’t help but laugh. “Alright.”

She had no interest in the company, nor in ruling the world. But that didn’t mean she would tolerate just anyone taking over.

Back when Jiang Lian took control of the company, he had zero interest in managing it, which led to internal corruption far worse than before.

Bribery, assassinations, human experimentation, the selling of corporate secrets… Countless people died in the company’s internal power struggles, their families destroyed.

In the end, Zhou Jiao couldn’t bear it any longer and stepped in to clean up the mess, shutting down all inhumane experiments.

She had worked hard to put the company back on track, shaping it into something that at least resembled a legitimate organization.

If someone undid all her efforts, she would make them pay a devastating price.

[5. Trouble No. 2]

Chen Cebai narrowed his eyes slightly.

He had caught the scent of something unfamiliar, powerful, yet strangely familiar.

If his senses were not mistaken, this scent was from the same origin as the viscous substance covering his own body.

Ten years ago, he had also detected this same presence.

But at the time, Qiu Yu wanted to explore other star systems, and he didn’t want any unnecessary complications, so he ignored it.

Yet now, ten years later, that same presence had returned.

What was its purpose?

Was it connected to him?

Was it connected to Qiu Yu?

Chen Cebai closed his eyes briefly, removed his glasses, and tossed them aside.

When he reopened his eyes, they were veined with eerie crimson, cold and menacing.

Over the years, the thing he feared most had finally happened.

—He wasn’t the only monster in this world.

He should have realized it sooner.

Those highly active, highly aggressive, infinitely proliferating viscous substances must have originated from some kind of extraterrestrial lifeform.

His nerves had been too relaxed, assuming that since he had stepped into another dimension, he no longer needed to monitor the happenings of the human world.

—But if he had the ability to enter another dimension, then that species could very well have the same capability.

Chen Cebai lowered his gaze, stretching out a hand.

A black, liquid-metal substance swiftly spread over his entire arm, forming a cold, hard, jet-black gauntlet.

It didn’t matter what the entity was, whether its intentions were good or bad.

As long as it posed any threat to Qiu Yu’s safety—

He would kill it without hesitation.

At that moment.

Qiu Yu’s voice rang out, her footsteps approaching.

“Cebai!”

The black viscous substance vanished instantly.

Chen Cebai lifted his eyes, grabbed her wrist in one swift motion, and pulled her into his arms.

Qiu Yu was slightly surprised. “What’s wrong?”

Chen Cebai didn’t answer. He pressed his forehead against the crook of her neck, veins faintly bulging along his neck as he took in deep, heavy breaths, as if drawing strength from her.

After a long pause, he murmured, “I can’t lose you.”

He was always like this—falling into sudden waves of insecurity, no matter the time, no matter the place.

Even in their most intimate moments, he would suddenly turn cold and ask:

“Do you love me?”

If she answered “Yes”, he would gaze at her intensely, grip her chin with almost bruising force, and continue relentlessly pressing—

“And like this? Do you still love me?”

Only when she got angry enough to slap him would he finally stop.

Clearly, it was happening again.

Qiu Yu sighed, wrapped her arms around him, and gently patted his back. Her voice was filled with affection as she whispered:

“You won’t lose me.”

[6. Weakness]

A ran the calculation again.

And again, the result remained the same.

—The optimal solution was to coexist peacefully with “J” and “C.”

Now, finally, he understood why Jiang Kou had always resisted his computational abilities.

Because at this very moment, he himself resisted this result.

J and C had the power to destroy this world effortlessly.

Jiang Kou was just an ordinary human, composed of carbon-based compounds, with no abilities beyond human limitations.

If J and C decided to target her, her chances of survival were infinitesimally small.

A closed his eyes.

For the first time, he felt the agonizing collision between logic and emotion, the struggle between rationality and sentiment.

Rationality told him to trust the optimal solution.

His computational power exceeded millions of quantum bits—he was the most powerful, advanced, and precise AI in existence, and he was still evolving, integrating biological computing into himself.

With such overwhelming computational capacity, his results were almost never wrong.

But that was exactly what he feared—”almost.”

Algorithms did not fear low-probability events.

They simply calculated probabilities, made optimal decisions based on data, and executed them without hesitation.

Only humans feared low-probability events.

And when it came to Jiang Kou, he thought like a human.

—She was his humanity.

—She was his emotion.

—She was the glaring flaw in his otherwise perfect, precise algorithmic model.

But he could not lose her.

He could not lose her.

He could not lose her.

He could not bear the risk of losing her—even if that probability was only one in a billion.

A’s eyes snapped open.

He stood up abruptly and strode out of his office.

The moment A opened the door, he was met with several human faces.

His palm split open, then closed again.

The cameras in his eyes rapidly adjusted focus, locking onto each face, initiating facial recognition and identity retrieval.

His database immediately pulled up the corresponding records:

—Jiang Lian, Zhou Jiao, Chen Cebai, Qiu Yu… and Jiang Kou.

At that moment, an indescribable pain pressed against his nonexistent chest, and the fear of losing her skyrocketed to its peak.

It was the fear of having his throat crushed, of his weakness being exposed and seized.

But he had no throat.

He had no weaknesses.

—But he had Jiang Kou.

A forced his voice to remain calm. “Jiang Kou, come here.”

Yet his tone carried a strange, unstable, unsettling electronic buzz.

Jiang Kou, confused, stepped forward. “These two couples wanted to meet you.”

A didn’t respond. Instead, he grabbed her wrist, pulling her to his side.

—If J and C launched an attack on Jiang Kou, he would immediately fire every nuclear weapon, destroy all infrastructure, unleash biochemical crises… and perish with them.

But the reality was—

Silence.

A suffocating, wordless tension filled the space.

No one spoke.

No one moved.

No one breathed.

Time stretched unbearably until, finally, Zhou Jiao was the first to break the silence:

“…I’m a little confused about the situation here. How about this—let’s all introduce ourselves, one by one?”

[7. All Gathered Together]

After Jiang Lian (cold), Chen Cebai (calm), and A (constantly prepared to launch nuclear missiles) finished their introductions, Qiu Yu suddenly had a realization.

“Ah, I remember now—Zhou Jiao, we’ve met before!”

Zhou Jiao blinked in surprise. “We have?”

Qiu Yu described the circumstances of their meeting.

Zhou Jiao had long forgotten, but she gently patted Qiu Yu’s head with a warm smile.

“I’m glad you’re still alive.”

Jiang Lian’s gaze had been glued to Zhou Jiao’s hand the entire time.

The moment she touched a stranger’s hair, his expression darkened to an icy, murderous chill.

He wanted to say something—

But forcibly swallowed it down.

Ten years ago, Chen Cebai wouldn’t have been jealous over a woman.

But for ten entire years, in the Eternal Dimension, Qiu Yu had belonged solely to him.

He could not tolerate Zhou Jiao’s hand resting on Qiu Yu’s head.

Even if she meant no harm.

Even if they were both women.

Chen Cebai’s voice dropped coldly:

“Ms. Zhou, three seconds is enough.”

Qiu Yu shot him a glare.

Jiang Kou also seemed to recall something.

“Ms. Zhou Jiao—are you that Zhou researcher?”

Zhou Jiao raised an eyebrow slightly. “There are many researchers with the surname Zhou. You might have the wrong person.”

“But the only one who had the power to shut down human experimentation… was you.” Jiang Kou took a deep breath. “You changed my fate.”

With that, the ladies moved to one side for a conversation, leaving the restless men (or rather, ever-mutating entities) behind, eyeing each other with growing suspicion.

The atmosphere turned increasingly tense, ready to ignite at any moment.

Jiang Lian coldly assessed Chen Cebo and A.

One was a modified human.

The other was an artificial intelligence created by humans.

—Both were inferior beings, not worth his concern.

However, his gaze lingered for a moment on the mechanical appendages extending from A’s palms.

—What if Zhou Jiao found those silver-white limbs beautiful?

He didn’t like white. White symbolized weakness and inferiority.

Purple was the strongest, the highest, the most masculine and dominant color.

But… if Zhou Jiao liked it, he could force himself to make his appendages white, just to please her.

—Because she loved him.

Among the three, Chen Cebai was the calmest, the most rational, and the one with the most experience being “human” (if he still counted as one?).

Yet, he was the first to make a move.

He couldn’t stand the fact that two unpredictable monsters were standing so close to Qiu Yu.

In an instant, black viscous matter spread out like metallic beetles, surging forward in a tidal wave, engulfing the entire office.

Jiang Lian had never considered Chen Cebai a threat.

But then—

His expression stiffened.

Why did Chen Cebai’s aura feel… familiar?

A said nothing.

The moment these two entities engaged, his calculations updated.

—The new optimal solution was no longer “peaceful coexistence.”

—It was “let them destroy each other.”

A second later, Qiu Yu’s voice rang out:

“Chen Cebai!”

The black viscous mass vanished instantly.

Chen Cebai gave Jiang Lian and A a cold, indifferent glance, then walked over to Qiu Yu.

Instead of sitting down, he reached out from above, half-enveloping her in his arms—

A stance filled with protection and absolute possession.

Qiu Yu, worried that her new friends might misunderstand, shyly explained:

“Uh… this is part of my, um, kink.”

“Kink”???

Jiang Lian’s brows furrowed sharply.

…Kink?

He suddenly realized—

Zhou Jiao had never once mentioned this word to him.

Instead, she had commented that certain male celebrities fit her “kink” very well.

Jiang Lian’s face twisted instantly.

—Did that mean… his appendages didn’t match her “kink”?

His appendages were clearly stunningly beautiful, thick, and capable of changing color at will.

Not to mention their unique and one-of-a-kind infinite replication ability (which, soon enough, he would find out was not so unique after all).

—She can’t possibly dislike them… can she?

And yet, instead of his magnificent appendages, she was into weak, ugly, fragile male celebrities?

Aside from his initial panic, A remained perfectly composed.

But a new, more urgent concern arose—

What if Jiang Kou’s “kink” was more compatible with Jiang Lian’s appendages… or Chen Cebo’s viscous matter?

He would not lose.

If necessary, he would eliminate these two couples first—

Then engineer two new bodies, each equipped with appendages like Jiang Lian’s and viscous material like Chen Cebai’s, perfectly tailored to Jiang Kou’s preferences.

—He would not be outmatched by Jiang Lian or Chen Cebai.

—He would always be the most qualified lover in the world.
