Rebirth in the Interstellar Meow Meow Meow Chapter 101

The Flying Wing

“Well, well, what brings our esteemed Mr. Ruan here today?”

As soon as he stepped out of the elevator, an unfamiliar voice sounded. A trendy young man, exuding a playful charm, was leaning against the counter facing them, as though he’d been waiting.

And he actually had been—Ruan Fengsi had sent him a message in advance. This man was none other than the owner of this club.

Ruan Fengsi cast him a sidelong glance, one hand casually in his pocket, his rugged features and fierce eyes giving him the aura of a hungry wolf. Or rather, he was more like a fierce tiger.

“What, am I not welcome anymore?”

Qin Guan’s gaze dropped to the small, soft figure beside him, and he raised an amused eyebrow.

Ruan Shushuffled closer to her big brother, gripping his hand to hide most of her face, leaving only her eyes exposed as she glanced at him.

“I’d be surprised if you didn’t come, but bringing along this…little companion today? That’s unexpected.”

Ruan Fengsi walked over. “Cut the chatter. Where’s my flying wing? And add a safety harness while you’re at it.”

Quite a few people enjoyed this activity, and some even brought their kids along to try it out.

Ruan Fengsi went to change into his outfit—a combination of a fitted suit and a windbreaker, all in black, giving him a sleek, cool look.

The suit highlighted his muscular build perfectly.

Ruan Shu, on the other hand, was dressed in white overalls. These were custom-made, featuring a large pink paw print on the front, which made her look irresistibly cute, the kind that just begged to be pinched.

As they headed toward the cliff, the duo—a fierce man and a soft, fluffy child—naturally attracted everyone’s attention. Their contrasting temperaments made them hard to ignore.

Ruan Fengsi held Ruan Shu in one arm as they walked up the hill, nearly lifting her up to sit on his shoulder, standing out like a crane among chickens.

“That man is so attractive. Shame he seems to have a daughter.”

“His physique is perfect, exactly my type!”

“The little girl looks so well-behaved. Are they both going flying?”

“That kid… she looks kind of familiar.”

When they reached the cliff, the wind was strong, tossing Ruan Shu’s snow-white hair wildly in the breeze.

But the view was spectacular—a wide, grassy field rippled like waves in the wind. Many people were sliding down the grassy slope, laughing joyfully, and some had even transformed into their beast forms, rolling down the hill with thick, resilient hides.

The sky was a flawless blue, and from the cliff, it felt like you could take in the entire world below.

Ruan Shu didn’t dare to get too close, standing back and eyeing the height with apprehension.

While her brother was busy putting on the flying wing, Ruan Shu sat nearby with her short legs folded, her tiny, snow-white fingers fiddling with the grass, which was almost as fine as her hair. Watching her brother busy at work, her hands instinctively started braiding the grass.

“Come over here.”

Once Ruan Fengsi had secured the flying wing, he waved her over. Ruan Shu immediately abandoned the half-finished braid she’d been making in the grass and walked over. Of course, by now, she’d already made three little grass braids on the ground beside her.

Qin Guan couldn’t help but stare, chuckling softly. He had never seen anyone braid grass before!

How odd…yet he found himself taking a second look.

As Ruan Shu toddled up to her big brother, he immediately scooped her up, securing her in a harness on his chest and fastening the safety straps.

Ruan Shu clutched her brother’s hand tightly the entire time, her soft, childlike voice tinged with a bit of fear as she asked, “Big Brother, are we…jumping down?”

Ruan Fengsi gave a gentle hum, patting her head. “Don’t worry. The flying wing will let us glide in the air, and I have a flight license. There’s no danger.”

She looked up at him, wanting to say something but hesitating. Eventually, she mumbled quietly, “But…it’s because you can fly that it’s dangerous. If you couldn’t, we wouldn’t be here, and there wouldn’t be any danger.”

Although her voice was soft, the people nearby heard her clearly.

Qin Guan burst out laughing. “Where did you find this little one? She’s hilarious!”

And she was well-guarded, too—he’d barely tried to pinch her soft, chubby cheeks before Ruan Fengsi had blocked him.

Ruan Fengsi shot him a look, his voice firm and a touch proud. “She’s my sister.”

Qin Guan was left speechless.

Oh, having a sister made you special, huh?

The equipment was all set, and the flying wing, made of lightweight materials, wasn’t heavy at all. It even looked especially sleek and cool.

“Do you trust me?” Ruan Fengsi asked.

At this point, Ruan Shu was practically hanging off his chest, looking hesitant as she nodded. Then she weakly whispered, “Can I…write a will?”

She was just…really, really worried.

Ruan Fengsi’s face twitched.

Qin Guan couldn’t stop laughing. “Oh my, I’ve never seen Ruan Fengsi at such a loss before. This is priceless!”

He’d definitely be sharing this story with his friends later—why enjoy it alone when it could entertain the whole circle?

Ignoring the man laughing wildly beside him, Ruan Fengsi simply covered Ruan Shu’s eyes. “If you’re scared, don’t look. Only open your eyes when I say so.”

His hand was so large that instead of just covering her eyes, he covered her whole face.

Ruan Shu nodded obediently. His hand was warm, and with her vision blocked, she could only feel herself being led forward.

After a few minutes, they came to a stop, and she could feel the wind picking up significantly.

Ruan Shu tightened her grip on his hand and swallowed nervously, but she didn’t back away or protest.

“We’re jumping now.”

The moment his words dropped, Ruan Shu felt an intense sensation of weightlessness and the wind roaring past her ears.

Her face, shielded by his hand, was protected from the harsh wind, but her heart pounded furiously, racing wildly with both fear and exhilaration.

“Big Brother.”

In the howling wind, Ruan Shu’s soft, tiny voice was barely audible, but Ruan Fengsi heard her.

“Mm, don’t be afraid. Close your eyes.”

Ruan Shu obediently closed her eyes, feeling his hand lift gently from her face as the rush of wind gradually became steady and calm.

“You can open them now.”

When she heard her big brother’s words, her eyelashes fluttered as she slowly opened her eyes—and she was stunned.

The flying wing on her brother’s back made a faint, steady vibration as it carried them through the sky.

Looking out, the towering mountains and forests below had shrunk into tiny shapes. It felt as though, with her big brother leading, she had transformed into a bird, soaring freely in the vast, boundless sky.

It was a sensation she had never felt before, moving from her initial nervousness to pure awe and wonder.

“We’re so high up, Big Brother!”

Ruan Shu’s eyes sparkled, her mouth curling into a joyful smile.

Ruan Fengsi glanced down at her, smiling as well, and then suddenly dove downward, making her squeal in surprise.

She covered her eyes, only to quickly peek through her fingers, feeling her big brother showing off his skills as he led her through the sky, gliding over mountains and streams, the people below now reduced to tiny dots.
