“Qiuqiu.”
Zhou Yinghuai first called her name, then placed the large cardboard box in his arms on the ground, closed the door, and only then found the time to tidy up his own disheveled state.
The rain had completely soaked his clothes, and the workwear fabric clung tightly to his skin, outlining the curves of his muscles, adding a subtle hint of sensuality compared to being completely naked.
Water droplets flowed from his forehead into his eyes. Zhou Yinghuai closed his eyelids, his thick black lashes distinct and trembling slightly due to the discomfort. He casually lifted the hem of his shirt to wipe his face, revealing his well-defined abs in the process.
Seeing this, Cheng Fangqiu’s eyes widened. Before she could react, she was treated to quite the sight, and her throat suddenly felt itchy. She lightly coughed twice, nearly choking on her own saliva, but her eyes refused to look away.
It was unclear how long Zhou Yinghuai had been out in the rain, but his skin had taken on a cold, pale hue, like precious white jade that seemed as though it might shatter at the slightest touch. On this “jade,” there were a few scratch marks, likely left by her on some night.
Cheng Fangqiu’s eyes burned with desire, but her mind hadn’t completely shut down yet. She quickly rushed to the bathroom to fetch Zhou Yinghuai’s towel.
“Quick, wipe yourself off.”
“Wait a second.” Zhou Yinghuai didn’t take the towel. Instead, he grabbed the hem of his shirt and swiftly pulled it off, revealing his chest muscles and pink nipples. Cheng Fangqiu’s breathing grew heavy, her gaze flitting about before finally landing on the cardboard box nearby in an attempt to hide her reaction.
“What’s this?”
As the words left her mouth, Cheng Fangqiu realized her voice was trembling and hoarse. But since the words were already out, she couldn’t take them back. She pursed her lips and silently prayed that Zhou Yinghuai wouldn’t notice her unusual behavior.
But it seemed as though the heavens knew exactly what she was thinking and decided to work against her.
Zhou Yinghuai paused in the middle of taking off his shoes, then suddenly looked up at her, his handsome face filled with concern. “Qiuqiu, what’s wrong? Do you have a cold?”
“N-no, I don’t,” Cheng Fangqiu stammered in denial. Feeling that her two-word response was too weak, she added, “I just woke up from a nap, and my throat is a bit dry.”
Zhou Yinghuai let out a sigh of relief. As he continued to take off his shoes, he said, “Drink some water later to soothe your throat.”
“Okay,” Cheng Fangqiu also sighed in relief.
“This is an electric fan I bought at the department store. It started raining right after I bought it.” At this point, Zhou Yinghuai helplessly patted the large cardboard box, producing a dull thud.
“Why didn’t you wait for the rain to stop before coming back?” With such heavy rain and riding his bike for so long, it was no wonder he was completely soaked.
“There’s no telling when the rain would stop. I was afraid if I came back too late, you’d be scared.” Zhou Yinghuai’s gaze burned into her, his deep eyes seemingly speaking volumes, firmly tugging at her heartstrings.
Cheng Fangqiu suppressed the fluttering in her heart, stood on her tiptoes, and draped the towel over his head, wiping it tenderly. “I’m not a child anymore. What would I be scared of?”
Even as she said this, after muttering, she urged, “There’s still hot water in the thermos. Go take a shower quickly.”
Zhou Yinghuai obediently bent his waist, even rubbing his head against the towel. Through the soft towel, it felt more like he was rubbing against her palm. Of course, he could see through her feigned indifference, and the corners of his lips curled up. “Okay, I’ll listen to my wife.”
With that, he reached out to undo his belt, his slender fingers nimble. Before Cheng Fangqiu could avoid it, he had already taken off his soaked pants and tossed them aside with his shirt.
“Wipe yourself off some more.”
The man, now only wearing boxer briefs, lazily bent halfway, letting her dry his hair, appearing utterly docile.
But the powerful muscles on Zhou Yinghuai’s body spoke of his wild and untamed nature, especially with the faint moisture still clinging to him. Water droplets continuously rolled down his body, leaving behind trails of ambiguous marks.
The sexual tension was palpable.
Cheng Fangqiu, her face flushed, helped him dry his hair. Her gaze inadvertently swept over the bite mark on his shoulder, and her breathing hitched. Her hands stopped moving. Did… did she do that?
At the same time, a vague image flashed through her mind—her riding on top of him, crying and insisting on leaving a mark, then biting down…
“What’s wrong?”
Seeing her hesitation, Zhou Yinghuai raised his head in confusion and noticed her staring at him. Following her gaze, the amusement in his eyes deepened.
“Did it hurt?” Cheng Fangqiu asked in a small, guilty voice, feeling both ashamed and somewhat embarrassed.
Her strength was more like a tickle—it looked scary but didn’t actually hurt much. However…
Zhou Yinghuai’s gaze lingered on her guilt-ridden face for a few seconds, his eyes narrowing slightly before he softly replied, “It’s okay.”
His ambiguous answer was interpreted differently by Cheng Fangqiu. If he said it was “okay,” it must have hurt a lot. She bit her lower lip in frustration, reaching out to touch the mark with her finger. “I won’t bite you next time. After you shower, I’ll apply some medicine for you.”
“Okay, shall we try it?”
As soon as he finished speaking, he suddenly leaned in. She instinctively took two steps back, her back pressing against the cold wall. She shivered and tried to move forward, but instead collided with his firm chest muscles.
Zhou Yinghuai stretched out his arms, placing his hands on either side of her, trapping her in his embrace. His hot lips landed behind her ear, and his scattered kisses made her sensitive areas even more sensitive. Her legs went weak, and she nearly slid to the ground, but fortunately, he quickly wrapped an arm around her slender waist.
“Try what?” Cheng Fangqiu mumbled, tilting her head to avoid his kisses, utterly confused. Why did he start kissing her out of nowhere? She wasn’t prepared at all and was now completely at a disadvantage!
His teeth nibbled on her earlobe, grinding gently, his words somewhat muffled but enough to make her tremble.
“Try whether you’ll bite again.”
With that, he effortlessly lifted her into his arms, the moisture on his body transferring onto her, feeling slightly cold.
The sudden lift made Cheng Fangqiu let out a small gasp. She clung to Zhou Yinghuai’s body to steady herself, her face red as she scolded, “Zhou Yinghuai, you jerk! That’s not what I meant at all.”
“But that’s what I meant,” Zhou Yinghuai raised an eyebrow, his smile roguish, making his handsome face even more vivid.
Cheng Fangqiu was momentarily dazzled by his good looks, and by the time she regained her senses, they were already in the bathroom. With a click, the door was locked.
“Qiuqiu, I like seeing you in my clothes,” his deep, magnetic voice seeped into her ears, inexplicably disrupting her heartbeat.
Cheng Fangqiu, pinned against the door, felt the shirt of his she was wearing begin to burn, making her uncomfortable all over. Only when his cool fingertips touched her did she feel some relief.
Even though there was no kiss, she was already breathing heavily.
She couldn’t help but deeply despise her own lack of composure.
“Does it still hurt?” Zhou Yinghuai’s large hand wandered over her dangerous zone, the thin fabric of her shorts separating them. He didn’t go in, nor did he leave, just lingered at the edge, teasing and probing.
He was purely playing with her.
Cheng Fangqiu gritted her teeth. He was the one who initiated this, yet now he seemed completely calm and unhurried. Meanwhile, she was left hanging, feeling utterly miserable.
Through the mirror, she could see his broad, well-defined back, every muscle as if tailor-made for him, exuding explosive levels of hormones.
There was a noticeable difference in their body sizes. She was like a willow branch clinging to a sturdy tree, swaying uncertainly.
She shyly shook her head, unable to resist the excitement in her body. She leaned forward, filling his palm with her fullness, using her body to tell him she wanted him.
After experiencing something wonderful once, a woman could hardly resist temptation.
Cheng Fangqiu silently made excuses for herself in her mind.
Fortunately, he didn’t disappoint her. Almost as soon as she moved forward, he hooked onto the thin fabric. But as soon as his fingertips probed inside, they were bitten, making it difficult to move in or out.
At that moment, both of them realized that she had more than one mouth that could bite.
“Don’t bite.” A soft chuckle sounded in her ear, carrying a soul-stirring sensuality.
Cheng Fangqiu, flustered and angry, opened her mouth and bit his chest, though this time she didn’t dare use too much force.
Not long after, once her body had adjusted, he pinched her chin and kissed her passionately—not gently, not slowly, but fast and fierce, as if he wanted to devour her whole.
Her breathing grew heavier.
Her thigh was lifted by his arm, moving up and down with his rhythm. Cheng Fangqiu felt as though her waist was about to break, and intermittent moans spilled from her throat.
Her gaze gradually grew hazy, barely able to make out his expression, which showed he was equally lost in the moment.
“You seem to really like the bathroom,” Cheng Fangqiu murmured into his neck, her body trembling slightly, her eyes and brows filled with captivating allure.
Zhou Yinghuai’s teeth grazed her shoulder, but he didn’t speak. At the same time, his lean waist didn’t stop moving.
It wasn’t until the very last moment that he leaned close to her ear and gave her an answer: “Because there’s a mirror.”
“…” Pervert, pervert, pervert. Important things must be said three times.
“Today at the department store, I saw a very beautiful vanity. Should I buy it next time?” Zhou Yinghuai held her as he washed her, the sound of running water unable to drown out the anticipation in his voice.
Cheng Fangqiu listlessly nestled in his arms, her brow furrowing in confusion. Why was he bringing up a vanity at a time like this?
A possibility suddenly flashed through her mind, and her eyes widened. Her lips twitched as she tentatively asked, “It wouldn’t happen to have a mirror, would it?”
Zhou Yinghuai raised an eyebrow, his answer self-explanatory.
“Get lost. Not buying it.”
“Wife, let’s buy it.”
“No.”
“Let’s buy it.”
The two of them bickered, neither willing to back down. In the end, Zhou Yinghuai stopped this childish argument, carried her out of the bathroom, and used a dry towel to wipe the water off her body.
After changing into dry clothes, Cheng Fangqiu directed Zhou Yinghuai to carry her to the sofa. Out of the corner of his eye, he noticed a book left on the couch and remarked with some surprise, “This book isn’t easy to understand.”
“Yeah, so I fell asleep after reading a few pages. From now on, whenever I want to sleep, I can just take it out and read it.”
“…” Such strong logic—he couldn’t argue with that.
“Hurry up and take out the electric fan to test it.” Cheng Fangqiu was now more interested in the electric fan, one of the rare electrical appliances of this era and a lifesaver for beating the heat.
Zhou Yinghuai smiled, ruffling her half-dry hair, then took a pair of scissors to the doorway. He first removed the rain-soaked packaging before bringing the fan over.
The new electric fan wasn’t assembled, but for Zhou Yinghuai, a senior technician at a machinery factory, this was a trivial matter. He took out his toolbox and quickly put the fan together.
“Plug it in and test it quickly.”
