Draw a Boyfriend for Myself 73.1

Only Intimacy, No Marriage

Shen Lingge leaned against the outside of the café door, letting the night wind blow for a while before pressing down the heat inside his body. Not long after, the server delivered milk tea and bread into his hands.

He carried the paper bag and walked back.

This road was not long, but he walked anxiously.

When Shen Lingge pushed open the door and entered, he paused for a moment, because Wen Xian was lying by the poolside drinking alcohol. Where did she get alcohol from?

He stepped over and placed the milk tea and bread in front of her, then lowered his eyes to glance at the wine bottle placed to the side.

1907 Baixue Champagne “Silent Ship”, this was a bottle that absolutely would not appear in this kind of place.

Shen Lingge, without revealing anything in his expression, took away the wine glass from her hand, while Wen Xian was still savoring the taste in her mouth.

She raised her eyes to look at Shen Lingge: “Shen Lingge, didn’t you say you were buying me milk tea? How come you brought me champagne, this bottle of wine tastes so special, I seem to have never drunk it before.”

Shen Lingge patted her hair, speaking in a low voice: “Only letting you drink a little bit, do you feel uncomfortable anywhere?”

Wen Xian quietly felt for a moment, honestly shook her head: “No, I want to eat bread.”

This time, Shen Lingge did not dare leave the wooden house. He called Xiao Song, spoke a few words in a low voice, then hung up the call.

He held the wine glass and wine bottle, looking at Wen Xian who was biting bread, black eyes surging with dark emotions.

Xiao Song came running over; he knocked on the door, panting.

Shen Lingge went out and closed the door, his voice turning cold: “Go check if there’s anything in the wine, and the fingerprints on the wine bottle and wine glass, not a single detail can be missed.”

Xiao Song carefully took over the wine bottle and wine glass, agreed with a ‘yes’ and hurriedly left again.

After Xiao Song left, Shen Lingge couldn’t help but clench his fists, a bit of anger rising uncontrollably in his heart.

She had always just guarded her own little world and lived her days, she had never done anything wrong.

Inside the house, Wen Xian saw Shen Lingge went out again and came out from the pool, put on her shoes and ran to the door to take a look. As soon as the door opened, she saw Shen Lingge standing alone in front of the door, his eyes lowered so she couldn’t see his expression.

The night color covered his expression, but she could feel that his mood was very bad at this moment.

She swallowed the bread in her mouth, reached out and tugged his sleeve: “Shen Lingge, what’s wrong with you?”

Only after hearing Wen Xian’s voice did Shen Lingge recover his senses. He restrained his emotions a bit, then turned his head to look at her.

His voice was slightly hoarse: “Nothing. I’ll take you back, soaking too long isn’t good.”

Before Wen Xian could turn around and go back to take her bathrobe, she was already carried into Shen Lingge’s arms. He hugged her tightly but did not speak for a long time. In the end, he kissed her slightly damp hair before letting her go.

On the way back, Wen Xian obediently held her milk tea and let Shen Lingge hold her hand, walking down step by step. It seemed that every time they walked down a step, he would tighten the strength in his hand.

She would occasionally raise her eyes and carefully glance at him, but he just walked forward with a heavy face.

Xiao Song and Duoduo were also nowhere to be seen.

Because she was worried about Shen Lingge, Wen Xian had no mind to drink milk tea anymore. Until the two of them returned to the room, her milk tea was still a full cup. Shen Lingge also noticed her uneasiness.

Shen Lingge pulled Wen Xian to sit down on the sofa, trying his best to soften his tone: “Xian Xian, do you still remember what the person who sent the champagne looked like?”

Wen Xian was stunned. She didn’t expect Shen Lingge to ask this question. Then she recalled the appearance of that man.

At that time, when the door of the wooden house was knocked and pushed open in an instant, Wen Xian instinctively turned back and called Shen Lingge’s name. But the man standing at the door was not Shen Lingge.

He looked around forty years old, appearance handsome, expression peaceful, on the bridge of his nose rested a pair of gold-rimmed glasses.

But because he was wearing server’s clothing, Wen Xian did not think much of it.

The man stood at the doorway and gently asked her: “Miss, may I come in? Your champagne has been delivered.”

His eye sockets were very deep, black hair meticulously combed back. When he approached her, she even smelled a faint scent of perfume.

The man wore white gloves. He opened the champagne for her, and also poured the wine for her.

After Wen Xian thanked him, the man turned around and left. Only before closing the door for her, the man stood at the doorway and gently smiled at her once. He said: “Miss, wish you a good dream tonight.”

After Wen Xian finished speaking, Shen Lingge’s expression became even more unsightly.

This hot spring forest area, in order to protect guest privacy, did not install surveillance cameras, and Wen Xian also said he wore gloves—most likely, nothing could be checked.

The only thing that could be checked was his appearance.

Shen Lingge stared at her for a moment: “Xian Xian, I will go find a sketch artist. Can you describe that man’s appearance clearly?”

Wen Xian: “……”

Wen Xian unhappily glared at him once: “I can draw! Why are you looking for a sketch artist?”

Shen Lingge suddenly recalled Wen Xian’s drawing of him—that flat potato person constantly flashing in his mind. He looked at Wen Xian’s tense little face and for a moment didn’t know how to open his mouth.

Shen Lingge hesitated for a while before saying: “Xian Xian, you…”

Wen Xian lightly snorted, then went to her bag and took out Yu. She held Yu and searched for a sheet of paper on the table. Then she sat down on the chair.

Shen Lingge walked to her side and looked at her. He saw her holding Yu and closing her eyes. After about a minute, Yu suddenly flew out from her hand, flying to the paper and brushing quickly on its own.

Shen Lingge was startled: “Xian Xian, that…?”

Wen Xian lifted her chin proudly and said: “Whether it comes out or not depends on me!”

Yu’s speed was very fast. In about two minutes, it finished drawing the man’s appearance.

Shen Lingge bent down to look. Yu drew very detailedly—appearance, height, clothing, even the wine bottle and wine glass in his hand were drawn.

He slightly knitted his brows. This man looked very familiar.

Where had he seen this man before?

Shen Lingge did not think further. He took a photo and sent it to Xiao Song.

When Wen Xian saw his expression looking a bit better, she picked up the milk tea beside her and took a sip. Chewing the red beans in her mouth, she vaguely asked: “Shen Lingge, wasn’t the champagne sent by you?”

Shen Lingge lightly sighed. He reached out and wiped away the milk stain at the corner of her lips: “Xian Xian, from now on you must pay attention to protecting yourself. I can’t be by your side every moment. If it were like tonight, in case he wanted to do something, I wouldn’t make it in time to get to your side.”

Wen Xian muttered softly: “I thought it was sent by you. That day you said to take me to a banquet to drink wine, but in the end I didn’t go. I thought maybe you felt guilty and made up for me.”

Shen Lingge: “…It’s my fault.”

After asking Wen Xian about that man, Shen Lingge urged her to go take a bath. Wen Xian held her warm milk tea and drank a few more sips before taking her change of clothes into the bathroom.

Shen Lingge lowered his eyes and stared at the person in the sketch for a while. He sent the photo to Shen Rongsheng.

Not a few moments later, he received a call from Shen Rongsheng.

Shen Lingge raised his eyes and glanced once at the tightly closed bathroom door, then turned around and went to the small balcony attached to the suite.

From his angle looking out, he could see the winding corridor on the mountainside and the lamps burning by the roadside. Below, there were pedestrians passing by together. The cold moon hung high in the sky.

Before Shen Lingge spoke, he heard Shen Rongsheng ask: “Lingge, where did you see this man?”

Shen Lingge frowned: “Xian Xian and I are in Lanshan’s forest hot spring. At night, this man delivered a two-million-yuan bottle of wine to Xian Xian alone. I sent the wine for testing.”

Shen Rongsheng’s tone sank slightly: “When you and Xian Xian come back, return home once. It’s inconvenient to talk about this matter over the phone. This man is very dangerous. Watch over Xian Xian carefully.”

Before Shen Lingge could ask more, Shen Rongsheng hung up the call.

Shen Lingge’s eyes were dark as he looked at the boundless night scene.

Xie Lin had long known that Chang Shuang and Wen Tianlin had a daughter, but he hadn’t expected that their daughter would look so much like Chang Shuang. That time, when he unintentionally looked out of the car, he almost thought he had seen Chang Shuang again.

Between this girl’s brows and eyes, there carried the same gentleness and purity as Chang Shuang. At that time, Chang Shuang also loved to smile.

Xie Lin wore dark red pajamas, in his wide palm with fine lines he held a file, in his other hand he held a cigar, with a champagne-colored gemstone ring on his middle finger.

This was Chang Shuang’s favorite color; he had always remembered.

The file recorded Wen Xian’s life these past years, up until her university graduation.

Xie Lin, through the hazy smoke, looked at Wen Xian’s photo on the document. Looking at it this way, she looked even more like Chang Shuang. His fingertip, full of fine scratches, slowly stroked over Wen Xian’s face. He let out a hoarse sigh: “Shuang Shuang, I miss you very much.”

But after a moment, his expression changed again. The file was crumpled into a ball in his hand and fiercely smashed onto the floor.

Xie Lin lightly trembled as he closed his eyes, words filled with hatred seemed to be squeezed out from his throat: “But you just had to marry Wen Tianlin. In the end, where am I not as good as him!”

The wine glass was swept away by him with one hand, the fragile glass instantly shattered into pieces under the violent impact.

After Wen Xian finished bathing, she climbed onto the bed and opened the group chat to look for Xiao Song and Duoduo. Before typing, she also raised her eyes and swept a glance at the room. Shen Lingge was sitting on the sofa looking at his laptop, seemingly handling emails.

On Why Shen Lingge Is This Much of a Dog (4)

Wen Xian: Come out and play games!

Duoduo: Miss, Xiao Song and I have things to do tonight, we can’t accompany you to play.

Wen Xian: ……

Wen Xian: [Look at my full of suspicion gaze].jpg

Wen Xian: You guys…?

Duoduo: Miss, we are handling business matters.

Wen Xian: Then alright, wuwu, I’ll play by myself.

On the table in front of Shen Lingge, there were two phones. When one of the phone screens continuously popped up message notifications, he picked up the phone and glanced at it.

He closed the laptop and prepared to go into the bathroom to take a shower.

Wen Xian saw Shen Lingge moving, hurriedly crawled to the foot of the bed, blinking her eyes as she looked at him: “Gege, are you done with work? So early today? Then can you accompany me to watch a movie later?”

Shen Lingge pinched her chin, speaking in a low voice: “After taking a shower I’ll come out to accompany you, are you hungry?”

Wen Xian pulled out her phone and glanced at the time. It was now 9:30 p.m., she could still eat.

She hurriedly nodded, then requested: “I want to eat a double-topping pizza, and also fries.”

Shen Lingge raised his brows slightly: “Eating that much?”

Wen Xian spoke as if it was only natural: “If I can’t finish, you eat.”

These past few months accompanying Wen Xian eating meals, actually Shen Lingge’s weight had been continuously increasing, so every morning he had lengthened his workout time to control his weight back to its previous figure.

He lightly sighed, raising a girlfriend was really hard.
