Rebirth in the Interstellar Meow Meow Meow Chapter 78

Qiming Star Academy

TL: Venus Academy is edited as Qiming Star Academy (11/24/24)

Ruan Fengsi lowered his head to look at the panicked little one, pressing his large head against her and rubbing affectionately.

Ruan Shu’s once-clean clothes, fair skin, and tidy hair were now all dirty.

“Big brother, get off me! I’m all dirty now,” she protested.

The little girl pressed her hands against the qilin tiger’s head, using all her strength to push him away, her delicate face turning bright red from the effort.

Yet, despite all her strength, she couldn’t budge him an inch.

When Ruan Xiao came out and saw this scene, his face darkened. He walked over, grabbed the black qilin tiger’s tail, and gave it a yank.

“Yowl!!”

The pain was intense! Ruan Fengsi immediately spun around to engage in a scuffle with his father.

In an instant, Ruan Xiao transformed into a white qilin tiger of equal size, matching his son.

By the time Ruan Shu managed to stand up, still a bit dazed, the two giant beasts—one black, one white—were already fighting up a storm.

Ruan Shu was stunned. “!!!”

Why… why are Dad and Big Brother fighting again?

The butler strolled over with a plate of watermelon and fish snacks in hand.

It seemed he was quite the professional “bystander” for these shows.

“Miss, come sit over here and watch,” he said.

Ruan Shu, speechless, “……”

She still couldn’t get used to this.

Though both qilin tigers were similar in size, it didn’t take long for Ruan Xiao to show Ruan Fengsi exactly what it meant to be the father.

In no time, the black qilin tiger had taken several hits to the head and face from his father’s paws. His head was left buzzing, and with a powerful shove, he was knocked back into the pit he’d dug himself.

Before Ruan Fengsi could struggle to climb out, the white qilin tiger started shoveling dirt back on him, burying him right in his own hole.

As they say… “You lie in the bed you made.” Ruan Fengsi was truly filling the pit with his own body.

Ruan Shu, worried, suddenly noticed that the old butler was taking photos.

His actions were so practiced that Ruan Shu couldn’t help but feel a bit sorry for her big brother.

After finishing with his son, Ruan Xiao transformed back into his human form. He looked expressionlessly at his son, still struggling in the pit, before casually dusting off his hands and heading towards Ruan Shu.

“Let’s go check out the school,” he said.

Ruan Shu asked weakly, “Are we really just leaving Brother like that?”

Ruan Xiao replied, “No need to worry about him. You go take a bath and change your clothes first.”

Ruan Shu obediently agreed, casting three lingering glances back as she went off to bathe.

The little white ball that had once been as pure as snow was now a pitiful, dirty mess, yet she still looked so sweet and endearing.

When Ruan Shu finished washing up and changed into a pretty, soft yellow princess dress, she came downstairs, her freshly washed hair cascading gently around her shoulders. She spotted her big brother back in his human form, sitting on the sofa with a fierce expression on his face.

With her soft voice, she called out, “Big Brother.”

As for the incident earlier when she’d been tackled and covered in dirt, the kind-hearted little girl didn’t hold a grudge at all. Right now, she was more worried about whether her big brother was hurt.

Sure enough, the bandages he’d just taken off were back in place.

His hair had also been trimmed even shorter. With a buzz cut and fresh bandages, his tiger-like gaze was intimidating with just a single glance.

The butler, smiling, waved the scissors in his hand. “Miss, look, didn’t I do a pretty good job?”

Whether it was his skill with haircuts or bandaging wounds, he seemed quite proud of himself.

Ruan Shu nodded in agreement. Indeed, her big brother, who already looked fierce, seemed even more formidable now.

“Big Brother, aside from your head, does anything else hurt?” she asked with concern.

Ruan Fengsi shot her a sidelong glance. “What do you think?”

Ruan Shu hesitated. “Um… maybe you should go to the hospital?”

Ruan Fengsi let out a cold snort. “One day, I’m going to bury him in a pit too!”

Such a warm display of “fatherly love and filial piety.”

Instead of going to the hospital, Ruan Fengsi, still nursing his injuries, headed off to work. He was called away by Xie Yun, who had bombarded him with calls.

Ruan Shu, on the other hand, went to school with her father.

Qiming Star Academy, the first institution built specifically for herbivorous starbeasts, had a powerful backing.

Standing opposite the First Military Academy, these two schools served as the flagship institutions for herbivorous and carnivorous starbeasts, respectively.

Both schools accepted students from an early age, providing continuous education from kindergarten through university.

After a series of checks at the school’s entrance, Ruan Xiao’s hovercar was finally allowed to enter.

Once inside, he held Ruan Shu’s hand as they walked toward the principal’s office.

When the principal of Qiming Star Academy received the news that Marshal Ruan was sending his daughter to their school, she couldn’t believe it. Was it a prank call?

Everyone knew that Marshal Ruan was a carnivorous starbeast—a very powerful one at that.

His daughter?

When did he even have a daughter? The principal hadn’t heard a thing about it, and now she was being enrolled in her school?

It was bewildering!

Although she found the whole situation hard to believe, she still had to fulfill his responsibilities as the principal and welcome them.

She was curious to see just what Marshal Ruan was up to.

So, the principal herself went out to greet them, her expression flashing with surprise when she saw Ruan Xiao.

“Marshal Ruan, bringing your child here personally?” she remarked, astonished. She had assumed that, at most, his butler would be the one escorting the child.

Ruan Xiao nodded, “Principal Karina.”

With a polite smile, Karina greeted him before her gaze shifted to today’s little star—Ruan Shu.

Ruan Shu clutched her father’s hand tightly, trying her best to appear composed despite her nerves.

“Hello, Principal,” she greeted softly.

Her lashes trembled slightly, and her gentle, childlike voice, though tinged with nervousness, was both polite and endearing. She looked up at Karina with a respectful, sweet expression.

Karina couldn’t help but feel charmed. As the head of the kindergarten division, she had seen countless young ones, but this beautiful, well-mannered child before her still tugged at her heart.

“This is your daughter, Marshal Ruan?”

She found it hard to believe. Wasn’t Marshal Ruan a white tiger with qilin blood? How could he have such a delicate and sweet-looking daughter?

Karina’s internal alarms went off, and she couldn’t help but caution Ruan Xiao, “Marshal Ruan, you’re aware, of course, that kidnapping or luring away someone else’s child is grounds for military tribunal?”

Ruan Xiao gazed at her, expressionless.

Karina laughed awkwardly, realizing how absurd her suspicion was. Someone of Marshal Ruan’s stature would never commit such a foolish act. Still, except for the child’s hair and eye color, there was nothing that remotely suggested she could be his daughter!

Ruan Shu, gathering her courage, held tightly onto her father’s fingers and responded, “I am Daddy’s daughter.”

Her soft, determined voice and her slightly puffed cheeks made her look adorably indignant.

Ruan Xiao gently squeezed her tiny hand, the ice in his blue eyes seeming to melt away.

Karina gestured for them to follow her. “Let’s discuss this in my office.”

Any lingering doubts she’d had vanished. A child this gentle, this sweet, where else could she go but to the herbivorous starbeast school?

She looked even softer and easier to tease than most herbivorous starbeasts! If she were sent to the carnivorous school, she’d be bullied to tears by those little troublemakers who only knew how to wreak havoc—how heartbreaking would that be?
